Facial cleansing is the TOP procedure in a cosmetologist’s office. Modern trends

Facial cleansing is one of the main and basic stages of skin care.
The main tasks of this cosmetic procedure are:

  • Cleansing the skin of dirt, excess sebum, sebaceous plugs
  • Reduction of breakouts: Regular cleansing helps prevent acne and comedones, reducing the risk of breakouts.
  • Stimulation of skin regeneration: the procedure promotes the removal of keratinized cells, which stimulates renewal and improves skin texture.
  • Improving the penetration of cosmetic products: clean skin better receives the active ingredients of the next stages of the procedure.

TYPES OF PROFESSIONAL FACIAL CLEANSING

There are many methods of face cleansing, let’s explore the features and benefits of each.

Thus, thanks to the rapid growth of the professional cosmetology market and advancements in device technologies, the approach to facial cleansing procedures is evolving. Depending on the skin type and current clinical picture, a cosmetologist can now select a customized cleansing protocol for each patient.

THE REVERSE SIDE OF FACE CLEANSING

Despite the obvious advantages, it is important not to overdo the cleansing procedure.

The frequency of the facial cleansing procedure depends on the activity of the sebaceous glands. An indication for manual pore cleansing at any age is their clogging. It should be taken into account that frequent facial cleansing (more often than once a month), especially manual cleansing, can cause a protective rebound reaction of the skin and lead to undesirable consequences:

  • Increased sebum production. Frequent and aggressive cleansing can lead to intensive secretion of sebum – as a reaction to the removal of the natural protective film of the skin. This, in turn, can lead to the appearance of new rashes and an oily sheen.
  • Manifestations of the vascular network. Intense mechanical impact on the skin can damage the capillaries, causing the appearance of a vascular network (couperosis). This is especially relevant for people with thin and sensitive skin.

MODERN APPROACH TO DEEP PORE CLEANSING

Considering the potential negative consequences for the skin during manual extraction of comedones, this traditional procedure is being used less and less frequently as an independent treatment. Modern global trends are based on caring for the skin, minimizing physical efforts and traumatizing procedures.

Professional cosmetology products allow you to effectively open clogged pores, facilitating the extraction of comedones even without mechanical influence, and at the same time additionally softening the skin. Therefore, preference is increasingly given to safe, delicate, atraumatic types of cleansing in combination with high-quality home care. To maintain the purity of the skin, it is recommended to carry out regular acid peel procedures.

ATRAUMATIC CLEANSING WITH RENEO COSMETICS

Atraumatic cleansing is a delicate method of skin cleansing that does not require the use of devices and mechanical impact. The procedure is carried out with the help of professional cosmetics: for pore opening, softening comedones, elimination of hyperkeratosis, pore narrowing, and anti-inflammatory effect. At the same time, an ultrasonic scrubber can also be used, as it does not injure the skin and does not cause pain for the patient.

Atraumatic cleansing is ideal for all skin types, including sensitive and couperose-prone skin. This method provides deep and effective cleansing, while minimizing the risk of skin damage and the appearance of broken capillaries.

ReNeo Cosmetics offers two options for gentle cleansing:

Option 1:

  1. Preparation: soften comedones, loosen horny scales to facilitate the process of removing sebaceous plugs with P100 Deep Cleansing Jelly Mask. The mask contains urea, plant extracts, aloe vera and bisabolol, which helps to carry out the procedure comfortably for both the client and the beauty therapist.
  2. Ultrasonic cleansing + at the beautician’s discretion, manual extraction of deep comedones.
  3. Pore closing. It is possible to narrow the excretory ducts of the sebaceous glands with the help of clay, zinc, sulfur, and acid-based products. We close the cleansing step by step:
    • Total Oil-Control Serum (with AC.Net complex, salicylic acid and aloe vera).
    • Local SOS-Solution serum (zinc oxide, sulfur, camphor, niacinamide). When this therapeutic suspension dries up, you can perform darsonvalization on it. This will enhance skin healing, close the pores and have an anti-inflammatory effect. If manual cleansing is added, Darsonval is a necessary stage of the procedure.
    • Sebo-Norm Mask is formulated with green clay known for its absorbent and soothing properties, helping to reduce pore size. Additionally, it contains azelaic acid, which aids in skin healing and acts as an antiseptic. The inclusion of camphor in the mask enhances microcirculation and speeds up the absorption of stagnant elements, further improving its effectiveness.

Option 2: Using enzyme and acid agents to soften sebaceous plugs

Facial cleansing with a peel multiplies the cleansing effect. Fruit acids destroy intercellular protein structures – desmosomes, which provide adhesion between keratinocytes and protection from the environment. Acids emulsify sebum, narrow pores, thus cleansing the skin.

Use a combination of the acidic effects of Peel-Expert peels, followed by the Soft-Peeling Enzyme Mask. It helps to remove old horny scales, excess sebum and impurities, to even out the microrelief of the skin and to stimulate the dermis to renew itself, keeping the skin youthful. This approach is suitable for any age group. Such cleansing can be carried out preventively for all skin types as a deep skin cleansing, without injuries and destruction of cellular structures.

Recommended course of procedures: Enzyme cream mask + Peel according to indications.

After removing makeup, apply Soft-Peeling Enzyme Mask for 10 minutes. You can enhance the effect of enzymes with the help of a warm, wet towel. After the exposure of the mask, perform the peel procedure.

For dense skin, on the contrary, it is better to first apply a peel, and after its neutralization, apply a thin layer of an enzyme cream mask and after 10 minutes, roll it off. The next step is the restoring mask for maximum hydration Hydra-Help Mask, which is a mandatory stage of all peel procedures.

FINAL PRODUCTS

The final stage of facial cleansing is protecting the skin from the environment. Closing the deep cleansing with special products can minimize the risk of irritation and prevent the appearance of rashes:

  • For oily problematic skin, it is better to use products with an acidic pH, for example, a cream based on 10% azelaic acid 4-SYNERGY BRIGHTENING CREAM for problematic oily skin at a young age or REVIT AHA CREAM for skin with signs of age changes.
  • If cleansing was preventive or a peel was used, the lipid mantle of the skin should be restored after the procedure with the help of LIPID BALANCING LIGHT CREAM.
  • If facial cleansing was performed with a peel during the day, the procedure should be closed with a sunscreen. Use SUN-BLOCK EMULSION SPF50 light texture for oily skin and CREAM-PROTECTOR SPF30 for dehydrated or dry skin.

TOP-3 INDISPENSABLE HELPERS IN HOME CARE AFTER DEEP PORE CLEANSING FACIAL

Cleanliness of the skin largely depends not only on the cleansing procedure, but on appropriate home care to maintain the result. To maintain the cleanliness of the pores and prevent their clogging, it is recommended to use once a week:

  • Soft-Peeling Enzyme Mask. For dense, oily skin, you should apply a thin layer of the mask, give it time to dry and roll it off, moving along the massage lines. Such gommage will allow you to clean the skin of impurities, dead horny scales, sebum that has oxidized – “black spots”. If the skin is thin and sensitive, it is better to leave the mask on for 5-7 minutes and perform a gentle massage with wet hands, then wash off with water.
  • Sebo-Norm Mask. This mask will absorb excess sebum, clean pores and have a powerful anti-inflammatory effect. Exposure time of the mask is 10-15 minutes.
  • Local SOS-Solution is recommended for targeted impact on the inflammatory elements of the rash, which will reduce the risk of post-inflammatory spots.
